What are your operating hours?
The Art of Yarn is operated by a single person--me, Judith! You can shoot a message any time of the day and I'll try my best to respond fast. My studio is located in Pasig but we send kits anywhere in the Philippines.
Where are you located?
I share a weaving and art studio with my partner tattoo artist @bjanbernabe. Our place is located in Pasig and strictly for appointments only! If you'd like to schedule an in-person class, get in touch with me on Facebook and Instagram, or purchase a pass here!
How can I reach you faster?
I reply faster on my Instagram direct messages :) But if you're not on a rush, feel free to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave me a message here in the chat button found at the right button of your screen.
Shipping & Prep Time
How long does it take for you to ship out my order?
Kindly give us at least 3-5 days because we process orders by batch. This helps us manage our workload as a small team with other daily tasks, and lessens the to-and-fro transportation footprint it could create!
Here's a short process on how your orders are processed:
* Once order is placed and payment is confirmed, I take note of the order.
*I relay the loom orders to Kuya Mike, my partner carpenter. He will purchase materials needed and start on it. We don't overproduce--we don't have a storage for them, we also don't have the capacity for it, and we want to make sure the weaving kit will be used right away!
After 1-3 days, the looms will be ready and finished! I will have it delivered to my studio for sanitizing and packing. This takes at least a day or two, depending on the amount of orders.
*I ship out orders via Lalamove or Gogo Express. When I book for Lalamove/Grab, I plan out a multiple drop for areas close to my studio while I opt for Gogo Express and have the orders picked up as a batch when sending to farther cities and provinces.
I use upcycled packaging materials but rest assured I sanitize them. That's when the order finally gets to you! Yay!
For very rare occasions that looms are available on-hand, I ship them in a day or two as well, to help minimize the footprint of solo order bookings. I hope this is okay with you!
Can I place a rush or custom order?
Yes please! Just shoot a message. We try our best to accommodate rush orders but not if the work load is heavy as well. Most of the time, the looms are for pre-order but if there's an on-hand kit, we'll send it out right away!
How much is the shipping fee?
Standard shipping prices are Php 150 for Metro Manila areas and Php 250 for outside provinces.
Can I pick up my order or book a courier to pick it up for me?
Yes, you can choose'LOCAL PICKUP'on checkout for this option. We ship on weekdays. Kindly wait for our confirmation to know when your order's ready for pick up + the details you need to book your order.
Do you ship out to other provinces outside Metro Manila?
Yes, we ship via Gogo Express. Soon as an order is booked for delivery, you will receive text messages for every update on where your order is. Metro Manila orders usually take 1-3 days and may take 3-7 days for provincial areas. Rest assured that I'm also tracking your order with you to make sure it gets to you fast and safe.
Do you ship outside the Philippines?
This can be arranged so just send me a message!
How can I process return & refund?
If you have received a damaged loom, please reach out to me on Instagram/Facebook along with the photos of your package upon receipt. Once eligible for a refund, the package must be returned within 2 weeks so I can process replacement or refund. To read more about our Refund and Return policies, read it here.
What are your payment options?
You may choose to transact through Paypal where you can pay using your credit card, or through Bank Transfer.
You may find my bank transfer details on your order page so double-check the email! But please send me a message on my Instagram if you need help finding it.
Weaving Workshop / Classes
Can I schedule a private session?
Absolutely! If you're looking to book a session with friends, an online craft party, or even a corporate workshop to offer to your employees or officemates, let me know! I offer different packages or custom-made a workshop based on your interest and budget. It's best to send me a message on Instagram so I can reply asap!
Why do I have to pay in full cash for my workshop fee?
This is your promise to me to fully commit to our workshop date to avoid cancellations. I prepare the kits ahead of time and if the scheduled session doesn't push through, I'm left with an extra kit and an empty schedule. However, if you would need to reschedule, you can let me know ahead of time and I will refund you in full!
Can I sell what I made through the online guide?
Yes, of course! You have made it with your own materials and personal skills so you should definitely earn from your own talent. I'd love to see it too, please feel free to share and tag me on your finished projects!
Can I share my online guide to a friend/family?
I encourage sharing the skills you have learned and teach it to your friends and family! However, I only wish that you don't redistribute or reproduce the guides and if you have a friend interested to learn this too through the guide, kindly send them my way or link them to my website. This way I can continue doing what I do! :)
Can I have a Tagalog guide translated to English?
I'm working on it! Right now I want to prioritize using Tagalog on my instructional guides, with a short translation in English, to help aid the video lessons. However if you encounter a problem with translation or some part of the guide is confusing to you, feel free to send me a message on Instagram so I can help out.
