Introduce yourself to weaving with a Heddle Loom Workshop!

This is a 3-hour class on how to use a mini weaving loom with a similar design to the traditional floor loom. The 'heddle' lifts up and down a different set of threads, making weaving fun and easy to learn for beginners of any age. It also features the 'warp beam' and 'cloth beam' and they allow you to weave a longer fabric.

The workshop covers four (4) weaving techniques: Plain Weave, Pick & Pick, Clasped Weft, and Supplementary Weft. You will be weaving at your own pace, and trying all techniques is optional. Check out the sample designs of these techniques here

By the end of the session, you will have learned how to use and weave a Heddle Loom and finish a piece handwoven and designed by you!

What is the difference between the Frame Loom and the Heddle Loom classes?

Both are beginner-friendly classes and are a great introduction to weaving, but they separately tackle different types of weaving looms. If you're looking for a project-based and more experience-based class for beginners of all ages, I recommend Heddle Loom class. If you want to learn the foundations of weaving by learning how to do it manually, I recommend the Frame Loom Weaving.

I don't see a schedule that works for me. Can I book a private class?

Yes, please! Just select the 'private class' option, the published fee applies for 1 person, so you can book a maximum of 10 pax due to the limitations of the max capacity of my studio. You may send me a message on Instagram beforehand for my available dates.

If you wish to book more than 10pax, or arrange a themed private/corporate class with me at your venue of choice, I would love to organize this! Just kindly send me a message on Instagram as well.

What is the age requirement for this class?

I recommend this class to all ages, at least 5 y/o and up. No prior experience needed!

Does the workshop fee come with the kit to take home?

No, the workshop fee only includes the 3-hour guided class, use of pre-setup materials, and your finished project to take home. But if you want to take it home after taking the class, I highly recommend that you take the Dressing the Loom class for the setting up class, and the kit is included in the fee for you to take home.
