    Funa nd easy

Had so much fun learning this new craft. Judith made it so easy to learn. The craft itself has so many possibilities.

    Discovering the Craft of Weaving

I had wanted to celebrate my sister's milestone birthday with a unique gift. I happened to see a friend's post of Art of Yarn's colorful workshop and the kinds of weavings the owner, Judith creates, plus the workshops she teaches. Being crafters ourselves, it would be perfect! Since my sis makes seaglass jewelry, I thought the Oceanscape Wall Art Weaving would be an apt project.
So on the day of the workshop, we not only got to learn a new craft, we had a fun time chatting with Judith and petting her kitty, marveling at her work and literally wall-to-wall supply of yarn! The environment was so cozy yet stimulating!
The workshop proper was a short but sweet 2 hours , just enough time for learning the basics plus tips and lots of chika! I wish though, if it could have been extended to 3 hours so we could make a more complete piece. Anyway, we got to take home our work to continue plus additional materials to do our own experimenting. The creativity doesn't end at the workshop!
Thanks again, teacher Judith for helping us discover a new way to make with our hands and imaginations!
