If you want to weave more at home with your Heddle Loom, I highly recommend taking this class! 'Dressing the Loom' is an important part of weaving, where we prepare the warp threads before weaving.

In this 3-hour class, you will learn how to calculate, plan out, and measure your own warp threads. Then, you will be introduced to how most floor looms are designed as you insert each thread through the heddles and the reed. The heddle is the device that allows you to lift and push down set of threads so you can weave with help., while the reed is the 'comb' that beats down the threads to make the fabric.

By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of the weaving process and most importantly, a deeper appreciation of the beautiful process of weaving!

It is a stand-alone class, separate from the weaving workshop, because this will teach you a completely different set of skills. It can be a bit more technical, but this is the reality of a handwoven fabric--half of the work is setting it up! The weaving and dressing of the loom process equally takes the laborious effort in creating a beautiful piece.
