Learn how to weave while introducing yourself to the traditional textile pattern called Kusikos (or whirlwind) by the Abel weavers in Ilocos. This class will provide you with the basic weaving techniques to finish a woven coaster but will spotlight reading and following a draft pattern. Complete beginners and intermediate weavers are very welcome to join!
Skill level: Beginner-level and experienced weavers are welcome to join here!
Can kids join the workshop? Reading a pattern may be difficult to comprehend for 5 y/o so I suggest that the minimum age can be 12 y/o for this class. However, we have a class on Weaving PH Textiles that's open to any age! Tap here to see the Hablon Patttern class.
Studio location: We are in First Capitol Place, Kapitolyo Pasig, Metro Manila.
