[Aug 11, 2pm] Banig Weaving & Embroidery Workshop

Introduce yourself to the amazing craft of banig weaving and embroidery! First part of our class, we will learn how to weave a banig coaster using paper strips. After this, we will tackle the practice of how a plain banig comes to life with the art of 'Pagpapahot' or adding embroidered designs on a woven mat.

The Banig kit and all the materials are curated and provided by Woven PH and their partner weavers in Samar, Philippines. It will be yours to take home, along with the online guides that you can use to continue.

Lessons include materials discussion, how to start and finish the process, and a little Q&A on translating your fun ideas for your next projects. 

Can kids join this class? This class is open to kids and adults, at least 8 y/o and up. Parents can come with their children and they can work together on a single mat/banig.

Cancellations: All sales are final and are non-refundable, but can be transferred or rescheduled in case you can no longer attend the in-person class. We strictly require at least a written notice 24 hours before the date to allow us to adjust accordingly. If the class is canceled less than 24 hours before our session schedule, we cannot guarantee refunds or reschedule.
