[Aug 24 9am] Frame Loom Patterns Class: Sabong (Flower)

Introducing the Sabong (flower) pattern, inspired by the beautiful Inabel Pinilian weaving pattern. This class is for intermediate or advanced weavers who have taken beginner lessons on frame loom weaving.

In this 4-hour class, you will learn how to read and follow the Sabong pattern on a frame loom that uses lace weaving & overshot techniques. A basic understanding of plain weaving is required, skills in reading a weaving pattern are optional.

Lessons include materials discussion, how to read and follow the pattern, and discussion on the process of traditional weaving in Ilocos as we learn how to do it on a frame loom. 

What skills do I need to join this class? A basic understanding of plain weaving is required, skills in reading a weaving pattern are optional. If you have joined any of my weaving classes before on wall hanging or coaster, or even the PH Textile Kusikos class, you're welcome to join here!
